Fuel Oil (Mazut)
Fuel oil, or mazut, is one of the petroleum hydrocarbons obtained during the refining process of crude oil, following naphtha, gasoline, and kerosene. Due to its black color, it is also referred to as black oil. This material is the cheapest fuel for furnaces, baths, bakery ovens, marine diesel engines, and some power plants.

- Very Low Sulfur (VLFO): Mazut with a sulfur content of 0.5%.
- Low Sulfur (LFO): Mazut with a sulfur content of 0.5-1.0%.
- Normal Sulfur (FO): Mazut with a sulfur content of 1.0-2.0%.
- High Sulfur (HFO): Mazut with a sulfur content of 2.0-3.5%.
Types of Mazut
The lower the sulfur content in mazut, the better its quality. A sulfur content of 0.5% provides excellent quality for vehicles and similar applications, while other grades are suitable for generators, power plants, and so on.
